THE CORRY BOTHY

The perfect 'get away from it all' location

Corry Bothy is a newly built house of wooden construction that will sleep two in peaceful luxury, with stunning panoramic views. It is situated next to the 580 acre Torridon Estate, and directly below the Munro known as Beinn Alligin (986 metres).

See the gallery for photos of the area.

The house is just yards from, and has access to the beautiful and unspoilt Loch Torridon,

a sea loch in the North West Highlands of Scotland. It has a modern kitchen, dishwasher, log burning stove, bath and shower and is warm and cosy.

There is no wifi or TV - it really is a place to get away from it all, and although mobile phone coverage is patchy, if you HAVE to stay in touch, climbing 30 yards up the hill will get you a mobile signal.

Being at the end of a private road, there will be no passing traffic, though you'll see plenty of wildlife. Deer will be spotted most days, cormorants and buzzards are common. Sea Eagles are nesting nearby. Seals, Otters, Dolphins and even sometimes Whales can be seen in the Loch. There are dozens of fabulous walks, straight from the door, whether it be to the top of the hill or a lazy stroll by the loch. There are no laws of trespass in the Highlands, so you are free to roam and explore the beauty of the Highlands.

We are sure you'll love your getaway.

Corry Bothy is located on the East bank of the loch, a mile from Jo's shop & cafe at

Torridon Village. (The village is also known as Fasaig).

There is a map and all the directions you'll need below.

The house is approximately 90 minutes drive from Inverness airport, so many people visiting the area decide to fly/drive. If you are driving from the south, it is - give or take, five hours - from both Glasgow or Edinburgh. The east coast A9 route is quicker, but the west coast route via Glen Coe, Fort William and the famous 'Five Sisters' is prettier.

If you are driving your own car, you should be aware some of the road by Corry Bothy is not tarmac and that half way through the estate there is a bridge that may cause issues for very low sports cars. Leave the Ferrari at home!
